Yom Kippur Schedule 5772/2011

Kol Tzedek Yom Kippur services are steeped in the liturgy of the high holidays and also include creative readings, reflections delivered by congregants on liturgical and chosen themes, and traditional torah reading.  During the morning service, we also bring all the young children upstairs to help us process with the torah.

Donate the food you're not eating on Yom Kippur!

Please bring non-perishable food items to services for donation.

The Haftorah reading for Yom Kippur day is Isaiah 58 which states:

Is such the fast that I have chosen? the day for a man to afflict his soul?...Wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?..Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house?

Help us answer Isaiah's challenge through small contributions -- like donating food -- that can add up to a huge difference in someone's life. Please bring any of the following to Calvary when you come to Yom Kippur services!

- ground coffee
- dry spaghetti
- canned beans and other canned goods
- macaroni & cheese
- other staples in box or canned forms
