Kol Tzedek Members Teach and Learn at LimmudPhilly! On
Saturday evening and all-day Sunday, March 6-7, 2010 at the Gershman Y, you will have the opportunity engage your curiosity and immerse yourself in all things Jewish! Presentations include music programs, film, workshops and lectures, all with an intent to feed your mind and enrich your Jewish life! LimmudPhilly is for novices in Judaism, spiritual seekers, Yiddish enthusiasts, advanced Judaic scholars – there is truly something for everyone. We are so proud to say that Kol Tzedek members are not only participating as learners at this amazing event, but we have a strong representation among the LimmudPhilly presenters! Rabbi Lauren Grabelle Herrmann is presenting on Saturday night about Jewish bedtime rituals and the Bedtime Shema. Meredith McBride is presenting about Jewish hip-hop and other musings from her thesis, Zoe Cohen is an artist in residence and Sherri Cohen is a presenter on klezmer. In addition, Jay Sand will be presenting to the
Young Limmuders (ages 3-10). Kol Tzedek presenters represent a significant number of LimmudPhilly's local presenters. We are so
proud! Remember though, that everyone one of the core philosophies of Limmud is that everyone is a student and everyone is a learner. In the spirit of expanding our Jewish horizons and experiencing the many tastes of Jewish art, culture, text, and philosophy, Kol Tzedek encourages everyone to attend LimmudPhilly and to sign up soon!
