Introduction to Judaism for Girls

Introduction to Judaism and Jewish culture for Young Women, Jewish and Non-Jewish, Ages 12-13.
This year-long class will meet as often as the women in the class decide they want to meet.  We will visit different Jewish synagogues in the Philadelphia area, look at Jewish art, listen to Jewish music, see Jewish films, read Jewish books, visit Jewish museums, cook (and eat!) Jewish food, celebrate Jewish holidays, learn Jewish history, learn different ways Jewish people have thought about G-d, go to see a Jewish play, and have a lot of fun.  What we do exactly will depend on what happens to be available in the Philadelphia area (maybe even trips to NYC or DC together with parents) and what the young women decide they want to do.  Cost: $60 tuition for the whole year (incredibly cheap!) plus any travel and ticket costs.
