High Holiday Children’s Services Leader.

Kol Tzedek West Philadelphia Synagogue, Philadelphia, PA.

Kol Tzedek, a vibrant, dynamic, urban Jewish community, seeks an energetic and creative individual to lead High Holiday Children’s Services on Rosh HaShanah Day 1, Kol Nidre, and Yom Kippur Day.  During the day, the Children’s Service Leader will lead two different age-appropriate services/activities (0-4/5 and 4/5-9 years) for children and parents, as well as a short multi-age program on Kol Nidre.

Kol Tzedek’s High Holidays are open to the larger community, and thus we serve a large population of unaffiliated families who attend children’s services on High Holidays.  This is a great opportunity to make the themes of the Yamim Nora’im come alive for those who on the outskirts of organized Jewish life and may be seeking “a way in” as well as introduce potential members to our community.  Strong interpersonal and musical skills are valued.   Compensation is $1600.  Please submit your resume to Rabbi Lauren Grabelle Herrmann, rabbi@kol-tzedek.org and Karen Guss, k.guss@yahoo.com by April 29, 2011.
