is seeking dynamic, creative, and caring teachers for our thriving, progressive
congregation and our growing religious school. Kol Tzedek’s Torah School emphasizes
hands-on, experiential, and interactive learning and seeks candidates with a deep
love and commitment to Judaism. Familiarity with Reconstructionist Judaism
and progressive education a plus!
Kol
Tzedek’s Torah School meets approximately 3
times/month from 3pm-5:15pm. For this part of the program, we are seeking three teachers for our
multi-age classrooms: one teacher who would specialize in Hebrew & Tefillah
for our Bet & Gimmel (2cd and
3rd Grade) and our Dalet & Hey (4th and 5th) classes, one
teacher who would specialize in Judaics for those same groups, and one teacher
who can engage our Gan & Aleph (KG and 1st Grade) students in interactive and
creative learning on Jewish holidays, values and cultural literacy.
Two
Sunday teachers will also be employed to either lead Tefillah or interactive
learning activities during our monthly Shabbat school from 10am-12pm.

Part-Time Education Director, Kol Tzedek Synagogue, www.kol-tzedek.org An average of 8 Hours/Week, August 15, 2011- May 20, 2012 Kol Tzedek’s Part-Time Education Director shall implement and oversee the Kol Tzedek Torah School in partnership with and supervision under Rabbi Lauren Grabelle Herrmann. With a growing number of families with children, Kol Tzedek has decided to expand the size and scope of our Torah school to meet the increasing need and to build for our community’s future. We are shifting from a one-teacher and two-classroom model to a three-teacher, three-classroom model, with the creation of the new position of Education Director to oversee the school and implement our vision. High Holiday Children’s
Services Leader.
Kol Tzedek West Philadelphia Synagogue, Philadelphia, PA.
Kol Tzedek, a vibrant, dynamic, urban Jewish community,
seeks an energetic and creative individual to lead High Holiday Children’s
Services on Rosh HaShanah Day 1, Kol Nidre, and Yom Kippur Day. During the day, the Children’s Service Leader
will lead two different age-appropriate services/activities (0-4/5 and 4/5-9
years) for children and parents, as well as a short multi-age program on Kol
Nidre.
Kol Tzedek’s High Holidays are open to the larger community,
and thus we serve a large population of unaffiliated families who attend
children’s services on High Holidays. This
is a great opportunity to make the themes of the Yamim Nora’im come alive for
those who on the outskirts of organized Jewish life and may be seeking “a way
in” as well as introduce potential members to our community. Strong interpersonal and musical skills are

Kol Tzedek, a vibrant, urban, growing
Jewish community, seeks a dynamic and talented shaliach tzibur to co-lead our
5772 High Holiday Services with Rabbi Lauren Grabelle Hermann (RRC ’06).
Kol Tzedek’s High Holiday services are described by participants as
traditional, participatory, joyful, and reflective. Our holiday services
are open to the public and draw in many seekers who bring intentionality to the
experience of prayer, making for an exhilarating and meaningful High Holiday
experience.
We seek a shaliach tzibur who can
engage participants musically through congregational singing, chanting, traditional
Hazzanut and “nigguning.” We are searching for a candidate who can build
energy and community through song and music. Candidates must work well
and collectively with lay-people, some of whom take on leadership roles in
davenning throughout the holidays. The shaliach tzibur will work closely
with Rabbi Lauren. Past High Holiday sh’lichei tzibur include Kelilah
Miller and Ezra Weinberg. Position includes Erev Rosh HaShanah (first
night only), Rosh HaShanah Day 1 & 2, Kol Nidre, and Yom Kippur. Please
