As planned, 38 Kol Tzedek community members signed a letter to Barack Obama encouraging him to fight climate change. The Maccabees and the "miracle of an ever-renewing energy supply" get some attention, too. Check it out in the attachment below!

Global Cooling Heating Up!

As the darkness closes in around us and temperatures drop, the Global Cooling Committee and Social Justice Committee are heating up!   After collecting over 60 pledge cards on Yom Kippur for reducing our carbon footprints, we'll soon be reaching out to Kol Tzedekim to help you fulfill your pledges.  Also, we're preparing a Hanukkah letter to the Obama transition team, with copies for our representatives in Congress, describing 8 (eight) actions that the next administration can take in order to stop the worst effects of Climate Change.  Then we'll get your electronic "signatures" and send it away.  We know they're receptive to our message, but they need our voice in order to do the right thing!
